The True Face of Hate

All mortals and certain insepid immortals,
Suffer from this morose disposition,
Whence they see themselves in another's image,
Finding only some one like them staring back,
They wince away,
Or when they see a better reflection than their very own,
They respond with distrust and utter disgust,
When they are what they refuse to see,
When they see what they cannot be,
Alas they convince themselves to hate,
Hate...sounds as simple as love,
Yet...is a four lettered living hell,
Where you can touch...not taste,
Where you can feel...not understand,
Where you can love but are scared to confront,
So you choose the easy way out,
You choose to hate,
Funny...its alomost like confessing
I can love you but I won't;
I'm a petty liar,
I want to love you but I can't.
