The inferno blazes from within,
Engulfing the soul and skin.
The embers intensify in the shadows,
Animosity grows.
Remembering all the wrongs,
As the final moment prolongs.
Ready to fight an unwavering war,
'Til he can fight no more.
Staring down the enemy,
Glares impetuous as can be.
Standing tall and stout,
Instilling fear and doubt.
Patiently awaiting the attack,
Removing the knife from my back.
Adversary, ready to meet your fate?
Time to annihilate.
He rushes in with a forceful blow,
Energizing my inferno.
Countering that hit,
I attempt to slit
His throat,
Recollecting the last negative quote.
He passes by once more,
Trying to even the score.
Bodies entangle,
Futile attempts to strangle.
Arms and legs intertwine
Fantasies of defeating this swine.
Broke free,
He's on one knee.
Gritting my teeth,
I pull the blade from its sheath.
The commotion ends,
As my arms extend.
Never gonna be enough agony to suffice,
I deliver a fatal slice,
As the head falls to the ground,
I look around
No longer feeling the inferno's wrath,
I continue down the less traveled path.

very graphic with strong imagery. I could almost feel the emotions and I could see the scene from the eyes of the character. Nice job! |
