Then faintly, I hear your sigh
As we feel the rush of pleasure,
Fragrance of the wattle blossom
Serenely through the windows seep.
No time for idle bodies
Fingers touch and probe,
Flesh that is a treasure
Of mankind after all.
Wanton desire holds
Gripping like a vice,
This-vice of pure pleasure
I gladly succumbed to.
I caress and kiss your bosom
Naked we lay together
Tender the kisses meld,
We two then into one.
Tongues, tangle explore
Places hidden in the darkness,
Tastes subliminally erotic
Boldly make escape.
Shifting within your body
Juices mix together
Instruments withering and twist
As ecstasy drives me deep.
Now drifting lazily
We tightly hold each other
Sweat brings us even closer
As will this memory.
I still dream upon this night
Wishing her to be near
When upon the lilted breeze
A familiar scent then makes its fall.
Stabbing through the throng
Of languid faces pale
From no sun upon the skin
I look for her again.
Fog settles down upon
The river, of a city
That has painted its foul odor
Over faces one and all.
I know that she’s not near
For she sleeps on yonder hill
Where I laid her down forever
In a sleep that has no end.
Yet I see her standing, strong
Seeking this frail and broken man
This man that has kept her living
In his heart for all this time.
Slowly I make a stand
So to call a common name
This word that I’ve not uttered
Since distant time forgot.
Shaking arms Seek
Reaching out for her to hold
Then sadly, I feel the lash
Of reality smacking hard.
“Come on now old timer
It’s time to go to bed.
And then we’ll put the lights out
So to dream some pleasant dreams.”
Shuffling toward my tomb
A tear drips and wets my cheek
I know that there is no sleep
As I lay down in my bed.
Then faintly I hear your sigh
As we feel the rush of pleasure
And fragrance of the wattle blossom
Serenely through the windows seep.
