my no kill pills

Contributed by Hanno on Sunday, 21st December 2003 @ 05:30:17 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Every day I start with my 'no kill pills',
If I don't,you don't want to be near,
because my anger is something to fear,
it will start over nothing,
with swearing and heaps of screaming,
then at night,while I'm dreaming,
I fight and fight in the jungle teaming
with people just like me,scared and terrified,
of things that go bump it's like a slow suicide,
so now they give me a pill for the night,
so I don't start yelling and give my wife a fright,
it must have been hard for all these years,
for her to sleep throughout the night,
so I have more
pills to keep away the screams and the tears

I have to take "no kill pills" aswell. Mine are for depression which I suffer from very badly when I don't take my pills. Thanks for posting this poem, made me realise I'm not the only one.

I can tottaly relate as I too take them.
I can certainly understand!
Thank God for Dr's -n-pills.
Amazingly enuff I think more folks need then than they know.
The part that fasinates me so much is how much one pill can change ones life.
I've apoligized to many for being a wreck!
I know my children certainly are releived.
Thanks for sharing as I feel this will help many find the couraged to contact their Dr.
I have this saying, if that's what it takes bring on the pills.
This one will touch many lives.
peace, joy, luv, pills,
emy
happy holidays

I am so glad to read people discussing these problems. I get very depressed on times going over and over in my mind, the same old sad scenes in the past but never to the point where I can't say to myself..... "Snap out of it! Go and make a cup of tea! Call up YPDC or something.

(OK this sounds smug and disparaging) but the point I want to make is that the stress levels in life today are beyond those (or different from those) we were designed/developed for.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with taking pills for the condition or getting help to think your way out of mild attacks.

Questions......is there any other way of getting relief? Has there ever been a Forum on the subject. If not should we start one?
