WHAT BECOMES OF ME?

Contributed by robert_edgar_burns on Saturday, 20th December 2003 @ 06:20:39 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

What oh what shall become of me?
I’m only seventeen multiplied by three.
In abandoned isolation I gasp for air to breathe.
What oh what shall become of me?

Where oh where is the hope of promised love?
I have been pushed aside with a very painful shove.
I believed she was my soul mate sent from high above.
Where oh where is the hope of promised love?

What will become of the two of us as one?
I look for love by my side and find that there is none.
I’d go to her right now, but don’t know where to run.
What will become of the two of us as one?

What is my life, but a vapor passing by?
A reflection in a mirror, dripping tears that now I cry.
If I have to live without her, then it’s time for me to die.
What is my life, but a vapor passing by?

Please oh please return into my arms!
I will never run away and never do you harm.
You have been my treasure full of beauty and great charm.
Please oh please, return into my arms!

What oh what shall become of me?
Do you care my darling, or have I been deceived?
If you return unto me, then shall my soul be freed.
What oh what shall become of me?

Save the fact that this poem has sporadic rythm, it's rather brilliant. Most of your rhymes brought a smile to my lips, and that shows for talent, and ability. Keep up the good work.

The "oh" between the repeated words seems a bit out of place at times.

I like this poem a lot, and I hope you're not actually 51. That's so OLD.

A very heartfelt piece of writing
I made the mistake of expecting her to retun to me when I should have been running with all my might to strain after her.
Even then it probably wouldn't have worked.

I wrote a poem about lost love
"He's not the only one" (but it works both ways)
