Take the long way home

Contributed by Hannah_jeannie_Brazeau on Friday, 19th December 2003 @ 08:10:02 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I'm a long way away
and lost in a cave.
I'm lost in a world
where time doesn't matter
and worry has no place.
Where sadness doesn't belong
and kindness does predominate.
It's a long way home
and I don't want to
walk that way alone.
'Cause time has a way of standing very still.
If I know you, you will come walking home with me.

You're a long way from me
and lost on an island.
You're lost in a place
where disappointment cannot live
and anger cannot find.
Where love rules over all
and joy beats everything.
You're a long way from home
and you should never walk that way alone.
'Cause time - it doesn't move an inch.
If you knew me, you'd pinch
to prove it's not a dream.
No matter how long it takes,
no matter what you need to do,
you can take the long way home.
I'll be waiting for you.

Mentally and emotionally far apart I agree...with that...a very nice write especially the end - you'll be waiting. Very nice. All the best.

Emma.
