Yet To Be

Contributed by perfect-imperfections on Friday, 19th December 2003 @ 02:41:10 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I feel so empty and there’s no escape,
From this lure which grows and is so obstinate
These words come begging to me, yearning to be written,
In a form which is too boorish and almost forbidden
I try to present these evasive, words in mystical attire,
And yet I fail to gather the true essence of Desire
The uncertainty prevails and the task remains undone,
For an escapade of creation my deepest emotions I summon
Help me out this delusion between “Done” and “Yet to be”,
The very cause of existence is yet unknown to me
Everything is so original and yet it seems so fake,
No more pain I can incur from sorrow and heartbreak
The monopoly of fate glances, and smiles down at me,
Revealing absolute helplessness and misery of unfound glee
The very best of reasons and rationality I try to deliver,
Where sanity is the sinner and ignorance the forgiver
So much mirth to gather but the numbness doesn’t fade away,
In a heart full of emotions and a Soul gone astray
Absolution I shall not reach until the soul and heart agree,
For the reconciliation between fidelity and deception is Yet to Be!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
