We put seeds in new ground
cultivate as needed
give sunshine, rain
do it over-n-over again.
Shooten wild life, meat.
Liven off da land
such bountifull crop.
We've been blessed,
corn, tomatoes, peas,
beans put in jars
this Winter to eat.
Picked apples, peaches,
our own trees.
Cutten, pullin,
we'd all help.
In Winter we'd
hybernate-n-rest
Cooken up good stuff
to eat.
Dedicated to my parents
Jim-n-Helen
McCool
now deceased.
