Happiness and Joy

Contributed by maryetta on Thursday, 18th December 2003 @ 07:25:14 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

as christmas nears i try to be happy
but everyday momma reminds me sadness is back
you try to get bubbly momma its christmas time
she looks at you and smiles thats nice dear
i want to bring her happiness and joy

it would be intersting to see inside her head
but im not sure i really want to know or not
her logic evades me most of the time maybe all
bless her heart she does try to make the effort
i want to bring her happiness and joy

when i brought the christmas decorations out
she looked a little lost whats that she asked
why are you putting those there oh how cute
i guess they do look nice but why are they there
i want to bring her happiness and joy

she forgot who santa was she still knows baby jesus
most of the time she doesnt even look
so i guess the decorations are for me i miss the tree
i want to bring her happiness and joy

You do bring her happiness and joy. What would her life be like without you?

A very touching poem

My grandma has the same illness, I can truly relate.
