MAMA SAID MAMA DID

Contributed by jaeann on Thursday, 18th December 2003 @ 05:56:04 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

mama said
mountains are the mole hills
a life cheated is no thrill
to keep my life intact ignore the kill
no great philosophy to fulfill
mama did

mama said
you'll have five girls all like you
all boys now and only two
lost a girl to make november blue
september came sooner for it's cue
mama did

mama said
waste not what you do not know
others reap what you have sown
i taught you well to go with the flow
die before the last cawed crow
mama did

mama said
cute is as cute does
the past is yesterday all that it was
trust in me simply just because
never listen to the evil buzz
mama did

mama said
i would forever be her all
she'd never let me fall
then she laughed as i crawled
while believing the lying drawls
mama did

mama said
i could never make it without her
i'd never relish in diamonds or fur
she'd never understand my innocent allure
but she'd beat me down like an unwanted cur
mama did

mama said
don't do as i do only as i say
you're treason will turn into just a lay
hell hath no fury like malicious child's play
saw in her eyes the color that betrays
mama did

mama said
mama did
sick in her head
but inside a child hid
mama said
mama did
she was long ago dead
her soul they had rid
mama said
mama did
evil touched her and she bled
she lost the devil's bid
mama said
and
mama did

Dear Jaymee,
Evil Mothers can have great influence on their daughters, that's for sure...This was just a tiny bit of what she must have taught you...This was a very unique poem Jaymee in the way you layed it out....had much sadness, but even more as you chose the words mama said, mama did.
My Mother was much like yours, in as much as she is dead.....and I learned later on...she never once told me the truth....I was the liar...she said, but it was she that lied instead!
Can be very confusing, you have survived, and I'm so glad you can see the difference!
love you,
ConSue
