God's Love

Contributed by YPDC_Group_Writes on Thursday, 18th December 2003 @ 04:35:49 PM in AEST
Topic: group

(Jellybellyprincess)
Jesus Loves me,
this is know.
He died for me,
so that I may go
Pardoned in freedom
and blessed as one
of the father's own-
treated as a son.

(Kie)
This little baby
Born for me
A king amongst men
Born in poverty

He wore no crown
He was a man
Tempted beyond reason
Gossip followed him
Wherever he turned

He did not care
About the gossip
Why should he?
He walked upon waters
To calm the roughest seas
He fed the masses
With a loaf of bread
He awakened the dead
Cured the lepers
Inspired a little man
To come down from a tree
Allowed a sick woman
To touch the hem of his robe
Finding her fleeting health once again

Oh this man
Gods only son
I could go on and on
Counting the deeds he has done
But it all comes to this point
So simple to me
He did all of these things
Because he loved humanity
To show his love
In a way most do not know how
He sacrificed his life
A gift the greatest gift of all
Salvation thru love
Unconditional
Loving future generations
He had never seen
Oh yes I do believe
That he does love me…

(Putteragain)
born to rags this lord to be
innocent of his destiny
saving us from our own sin
let his love for us begin

(Jellybellyprincess)
Lord of splendor
loving me?
How could this
ever possibly be?

He loves me truly,
with all his heart
So I will love too-
I shall play my part.

(Shadow Daughter)
although I do not believe
in this God that you love so
and though religion brings anger & strife
wherever it's leaders may go

I find no anger or strife
because of these poems here
I think it is truly beauty
that you love this God so dear.

and though I do not believe
(none above would hear this call)
all I can say to my fellow poets
is God bless, God bless you all.

(Jellybellyprincess)
God greatly has blessed you
with love, dear friend.
May His kindness toward you
find never an end.

When you could have lashed
and been truly hateful,
you showed us your love.
For that I am grateful.

(Putteragain)
your words were kind
your words were sweet
one day in heaven
our souls will meet

(Jellybellyprincess)
God shows his love
through all people alike-
He has given to all
that hand peirced by spike.

We all have done wrong,
we all are not worthy.
Yet to all he gives love
And cloaks all in his glory.

This poem is really good. I liked how you shared the love of Jesus and how His love for people is so rich and how even an unbeliever can realize Jesus' love for them. God bless you; and write more like this.
