Grandma got ran over by a tractor

Topic: Holiday Poetry

Grandma got ran over by a tractor
out in the potato field last night
farming accidents happens often
but this one was really quite a fright.

Grandpa left that old tractor running
and in his forgetful state he left to go to the house
grandma noticed and went to turn it off
hit the shifter and then it was to late.

Her dress got caught in the tire
and she went for a frightful ride
now she wished there was a reindeer
to take her to saftey on this night.

The tractor went right through the fence
rounded the bend and in with the cows
then it drug her through the barnyard
and she fell off amongst the sows.

Now this story isnt really funny
but it does have a happy ending just the same
grandma only broke her arm
but when she was finished with grandpa...

well she broke his leg............

Now its hard to think of Christmas dinner
with both of them in a cast
with a grumble she proclaims
'do you wont them spuds baked
or do you want them mashed??

Then at once we heard a jingle
and left the table to look out in the yard
out there was a team of horses
with a big red sleigh hooked behind.

A man dressed up like old Santa
had a message then to subside.
Seems that old tractor out there
took grandma for a hellish ride.

So I give to you this team of horses
and the little red sleigh so now your winters
farming can go on in a much safer way!!
