Dawn

Contributed by TheSpiritx on Thursday, 18th December 2003 @ 03:39:11 AM in AEST
Topic: Event

The wait
For Dawn
Sun hiding

Moon rising
In dark
Benighting

The blue
Crushing blue
Floating in air

Coming
Upon us, down
On us

And I wait
The night sky
Stars fly

Left and
Right
They shoot

Across, far
Near to me
Bang, one two

Bang.
Like bullets
Fiery and red

Without
Lights here
Fireflies

Fluttering
Midst of fields
Singing

Splayed against
Moon emitted
Radiance

Reflection
On water
Surface

Show the moon
Shadowed
I am, soon

Shadowed in
Brilliance
Of sun again

When the
Star smiles
Upon me

Lunar flight
Solar peeking
Out at night

Up it comes
Black to blue
To orange, pink

Cloud
Scurries from sun
Flee, shroud

Let the rays
To me
Shimmering days

Now gone
The moon,
Dawn

I really like how you describe the
night sky as a story. This poem
is very creative. I like the quick,
few word descriptions in this poem.
It gives it a very nice flow.
