NORTH LAKE SUMMERS

Contributed by jaeann on Wednesday, 17th December 2003 @ 05:43:22 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

bubble in a box
box fell down the stairs
gate was broken purposefully
but no one really cares

tin man's in the woods
shoe box under the clay
secrets buried by the lake
must always forever stay

picnic table by the tree
the rope swings maliciously
flowered suitcase strewn atop
betrayal's paid back viciously

fire in the dead of night
cats are screaming at the moon
evil lurks beneath the stairs
pray for a storm break soon

corner stone market rendezvous
ice cream summers' crush
corn fed maze lost in the spring
one look and all is hush

dancing queen lies at rise of sun
a path to the open door
patience is virtue's tepid curse
disappearing through the core

kin folk are thinner than water
blue blood runs death ice cold
erase a non existant history
remembering all that can't be told

OOOhhhhhhhhspokyyyyyy, Jaymee....but reminds me of a saying.
Secrets, Secrets, you are as sick as your secrets....But in this day....they are all being manifest...brought to the light!
This is a marvelous poem Jaymee...I could even see those secrets in the dark of night!
Spokyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved it,
ConSue

It is night and yes I found your poem eery but compelling enough to read a few more times. It was like watching scenes from a movie, one frame at a time and trying to puzzle in the pieces. Vivid were the descriptions I saw in your poetry, remarkably vivid and very mysterious but addictive...
