A ‘FRIEND’ TO ME, WELL, IT IS LIKE THIS,
A PERSON; NOT A LOVER, OR RELATIVE
WITH WHOM YOU HAVE, A MUTUAL BOND
TO LOVE AND SUPPORT, THROUGH TIME AND BEYOND
YOU GIVE THEM ALL, OF YOUR LOYALTY
AND EVEN TREAT THEM, AS IF ROYALTY
FOR WHEN YOU HAVE FINALLY FOUND, A TRUE FRIEND
THE LOVE AND TRUST, IT WILL NEVER END
YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DISCUSS ANYTHING
KNOWING IT WON’T BE PASSED ROUND THE RING
EVERYTHING WOULD BE RECIPROCATED
NO MATTER HOW SIMPLE OR COMPLICATED
ALL OF YOUR FEELINGS, AND YOUR EMOTIONS
WILL BE ABLE TO BE FULLY IN THE OPEN
AND SO I LEAVE YOU WITH THIS THOUGHT IN MIND
OF THE MAGIC OF FRIENDSHIP, THAT TRANSCENDS ALL TIME
BUT PLEASE IN THE END, DON’T GET ME ALL WRONG
FOR FRIENDS CAN GROW ON, TO BE LOVERS SO STRONG
AND LOVE THAT STARTS IN THIS WAY YOU’LL SEE
WILL ENDURE FOR ALL OF ETERNITY
