I Am the Daughter of Sorrow

Contributed by MissLee on Wednesday, 17th December 2003 @ 10:01:06 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Lonely long years
Of endless tears
And undescribable fears
Have caught up with me
Another day I no longer wish to see
Nevermore does a smile cross my face
My heart has found its place
In a dark chasm as deep as the sea
I wish to no longer exist, and cease to be
I clothe myself in sorrow
For there is neither today nor tomorrow
Days drag on
As I wander along
No one cares anymore
Poeple say of me "She had so much potential in store"
But no one gave me the time of day
I don't care any way
As Nietchze said " Life is something we endure"
Or something like that
My heart is tainted, no longer pure
Where is the love at?
These so long and lonely years
Have filled my heart with endless tears
For I am the Daughter of Sorrow
And for me there is neither today nor tomorrow
But you gave me the time of day
I am healing in a way
But my dear, the pain is still there
For it is what I wear
I hope you know I am happy because of you
But things that people to me did do
Are still inside
Though I try to hide
They come back and haunt me
And from all the tears I've cried I can no longer see
Anything worth being around for except you
What am I going to do....

this is a fantastic write. i am putting it in my favorites...

baby, i can see the dark caves you wander in this poem. every line, mark, curve and jagged stone, i know by heart. because i have wandered it too. and it is in this unforgiving place of numbing chill that i found you. give me your hand, and we will climb to safety, together...
