*** I Remember ***

Contributed by bug on Tuesday, 16th December 2003 @ 02:04:39 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

It has been a while,
but I still remember your smile.
I remember the look on your face.
and the soothing warmth of your embrace.
I remember the sparkle in your eye.
as I remember, I break down and cry.
We started off so bad.
Loving feelings, I didn't have.
I wanted a one night thing,
you wanted more than a fling.
You were so good to me.
After a while, you made me see.
I soon fell in love with you,
And yeah, you loved me too.
But now it was too late,
We've been forced to seperate.
Because of the color of your skin,
you couldn't even be my friend.
With out you, I couldn't be.
I felt my life was incomplete.
Now exactly 1 year has passed.
The year has flown by so fast.

But time has eased my pain.
I feel little heart ache.
But I do still care about you,
even though I'm without you.
And I'll see you again one day.....

This is a cool poem, I liked it a lot, but I have one question, what do you mean by "The color of some one's skin should not matter, as long as you love that person. Don't worry about what other people think."?
