The Best Lady Poet on the Site

Contributed by norm on Tuesday, 16th December 2003 @ 09:23:31 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

If someone were to form a test,
to find which lady poet's best,
I'd find me in a gorgon's bind
Stone would overtake my mind.

I cannot choose, these classy femmes
With poems from where the psyche stems
They write of life and death and loves,
Of animals and turtle doves.

I'll tell the truth, I love them all,
The poems they write are ten feet tall.
I'd know their poems without their names
They slug at life and play no games.

The way each writes' an open book,
Within their heads they let you look,
I know of twelve, I'd like to say,
Could be my friend, this very day.

very fine poem Norm
It's a toss-up, who could ever compete with the likes of you...man or femme?
Are you buttering us up?
Or telling the truth?
