Grief

days of calm days of old where are they
they are free they are happy they are themselves
do we wish do we dream days gone by
where is the cure to bring them home
where do we run to where do we hide
we have none our dreams flit here and there
but always comes back sadly there is no cure
we know what we must do and so we do it
where is the cure to bring them home
we continue to dream we continue to hope
that is all we have to live for nothing more
we read every new article hoping for something new
how can we continue to go on dreaming
where is the cure to bring them home
faith keep us going on dreaming always will
i believe that as we go into this further
we feel the pain agony and compassion
our biggest test comes when we have to let them go
where is the cure to bring them home
