Behind The Eyeliner

Contributed by Suz on Monday, 15th December 2003 @ 10:15:25 PM in AEST
Topic: sarcasticpoetry

sometimes it hurts
…not always
just

…sometimes
these bums come to me like
i am god
god for cheap
god for next to free

but for real, it doesn’t matter
it always hurts inside

behind my black eyeliner
and my contact lenses
i am crying

they don’t see it
…stubble hurts
it all hurts
...are you done yet, baby?
i hate it

…i hate me

but this is the only way-
to survive

when you’re out of a job
there is always the black raincoat
and the fishnet tights waiting in the corner

and in some dark alley or on a curb
…at night
…in the rain

there will be someone
who is looking for you
…for me

it should feel good to know i’m wanted

...that's what my mother said

hahahaha... hahaha.... ha...

what mother
what mother?
what mother just dies and leaves you all alone when you're twelve to sell yourself for you life?

so lost...
so cold...

a white car is stopping

just go away, helpless bum

.
..
...
'hey baby, what'll ya do for $100?'

You remind me so much of my friend Amanda. She wears a ton of black eyeliner and is obsessed with fishnets... ...well... I too am obsessed with fishnets 'CUASE THEY'RE THE COOLEST THINGS IN THE WORLD! ...erm...anyway, her father died when she was twelve... and she doesn't want to get over it so she exposes her gothy self to the world, but hey! It's better than hiding it, right? I would rather be morbid than be a hypocrite 'cause that would suck.
