Two Divided

Anger overwhelms, and causes pain.
I lash out, but with little gain.

I close my eyes and always see you.
When you close your eyes do you see me too?

I have never been so close, to someone so far away.
I think of you every minute of every day.

Was it real, I guess I’ll never know?
Truth is, I miss you, and love you so.

We made our little ones, and watched them grow.
With God's help, someday, they'll understand and know.

The reed that bent, now, is broken.
So many love-things, we've left unspoken.

How can this be? How did it come about?
I pull my hair, tears, I scream, and shout.

My undying love, cradled in faith now lost.
You sent me away, closed the door, just tossed.

May God go with you, and keep your heart. My God!
I wish I could have tried harder to do my part
