Truth

Caring words you speak
But the truth is what I seek

No matter how much I want to believe what you say.
This time my heart is not a token in these games you seem to play.

I stood by you when very few did.
Only to find behind another face you've hid.

People talked, Rumors i've heard,
People change is what i had come to believe.

Only to believe there was nothing to fear.
For I've loved you with all my heart this past year.

Told myself not to hold back all these things you make me feel
Cause to me what we had was real.

I thought my heart was safe with you.
But there was nothing i could do.

Never once did it cross my mind.
You had been seeing her the whole time.

The truth i had found, yet my heart didn't want it to be true.
Seems you knew nothing you could say would change us being through.

It's been two months without you, seems to be harder then i thought it would be
I'm no longer blind when it comes to you now, i can finally see.

Though we still remained friends, Everyday is a fight.
I can't let myself fall back in love with you, at least not tonight.
