Today

Topic: oops

They say the grass is always greener,
well I've seen the grass and it is so much cleaner,
and I slipped and fell upon my knees,
I cut my leg and cut my jeans,
the hole in the fabric is open wide,
so everyone can see the wound inside.
And yeah, okay, I had something once,
but everything Gold turns to dust within my touch,
and the Gold I held, although I loved it such,
I changed my mind and decided I didn't want it much.
I will drop a bomb upon this world,
I will shout and scream, until I'm heard.
I have been bullied, I've been the bully,
I've been utterly confused, and I've understood fully.
I've loved this life whilst standing in line,
but someone went ahead and took my place.
Life has a way of pulling you up,
then turning back around to slap you in the face.
This place you speak of, does it exist?
Would you take me along?
Would you take me along?
Could you take me along?
Please just take me with you,
because I want to see everything this place has to offer...
and I want to show this world just what I have to offer,
today.

Those who think the grass is greener on the other side
need to quit climbing that fence
cause torn jeans is what they get
showing the world that they are an

BRAVO!BRAVO! Wish I could be there to hear you read this one day......I'd stand and shout ENORE, ENORE
Very deep, so revealing, what you reap! Cry of your generation...ours already knew....what you see is what you get....over the fence or another view....Whereever you go...you have to take YOU.....cannot run...cannot hide...'twil always be inside....YOU!
Great write, BG...wonderful words of explanation, and great inspiration for those all around!
You write such good poems.....
Keep up the good work!
