Dear Cancer:

Contributed by jme on Monday, 15th December 2003 @ 09:07:28 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

You stole her from me
How could you?
I loved her
She loved me too, once
You made her change
You made her weak
Something she was not
I watched her wither
Only standing with my mouth gaping
In awe
It wasn't enough, though
You wanted more
You took it too
All she had
All I had too
Taking two souls
All at once
I hate you!

I can relate to this one. I had to watch my grandfather wither away to a point... I was very young but still remember enough of it to hate all things like that.

Cancer took my fathers life when I was 18. This poem described how diabeties Killed my mother two years ago how I watched her suffer. Believe me I know your pain. If you need a friend I'm here. I don't have all the answers but together as friends who knows maybe we can find them :)
