Take it Over Me

Contributed by FadingSoul on Monday, 15th December 2003 @ 07:12:24 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Your standin’ there with
the voices in your head their telling
you that nothing seems the same

when the feelings gone
the chances are so far from undone
but the feelings are stronger
maybe it’s the only way
to bring it over
take it over me

tryin’ for everything
and it seems like nothing bothers me
then I’m cryin’ over things I need to do
but then its over
and I’m left out in the rain

but it brings me closer
take it over me

facin’ the days are nothin’
maybe just incase
things change over
they take all the rest

And it’s all over me
take it over me

pinned against the wall
weeping as I fall
remember what your facing
even though its all a thought
remember how she changed me
even though I let her go
forgetting that it’s over
it still bothers me

it’s the only way to bring it over
take it over me

I liked it, but didn't understand the title. I know all about broken relationships though and can feel the pain of not really being able to let go even though your mind says you have...your heart forgets you haven't. My title would have been "Forgetting that it's over"...but I'm a simple up- front poet. Am I right about the feelings...or all wet?

Being English I often get a problem with the American idioms. I went through this myself . We never got it back together (the way it was)
In the end we broke up (See my poem The Way we Were).
I liked the poem though.

This is a wonderful song. Thanks for sharing it. Well, in life everyone do face broken relationships... well, hope you'll overcome the trials and tribulations you're facing

the title is just a view of what there actually was left in the relationship its kind of my point of view of taking one thing over another...to just kind of let everything that was there go and take whats left and build something new with the remains
