As I light the candle tonight
I realize you've been gone
longer than you were alive ........
gone so long I wouldn't
know what it would be like
with you still in my life..........
cannot fathom
the possibilities.....
those dreams
died with you
on that night..........
I miss you......
I miss the me
I was
with you.....
that me is gone
she disappeared
that night
right along with
you and hope.......
so I light this candle tonight.........
knowing
time does not heal pain.........
closure is elusive.....
and I will always be lost.

AhhhhJaymee....as I lite the candle last night at 7 for your little girl...I prayed, and with many prayers.....from many people...the day will come when you can light a candle without so much pain....You've been so brave and courageous too. All the many adjustments is has taken to see you through. I'm very proud of you.
