I see your arms reaching out to hug me
in the evening on a friday night
roses sway in the breeze on the front porch
and I know everythings alright
hear the radio playing in the kitchen
dj says that the day is through
smell the supper cooking in the night air
and I know that I love you
feel you smile as our lips come together
stars twinkle in the virgin night
next door all the kids are playing
running now through the fading light
we sit out on the front porch swinging
and start to talk as we hold hands too
I feel alright on this friday evening
and I know that I love you
