Will I fill my page
or will it be a blank space
in this boundless book
he is the author
his will the pen
and from His infinite wisdom
unto us each he shook
pieces of grace
upon each mind and face
yet most won't see
for they never really look
what you've been given
is not yours to keep
just opportunity
chance of a seed
on each He took
and I wonder if he
is as sad as I'd be
to know
you can give everything
you have
and still no one can
give a damn
to hear a word.
