I said if you go I would miss you
Yet my love would keep on growing
And the thought of being with out you
Would keep my love from going
Watching you turn your back on me
Without me really knowing
Why it is you left me so
And why I’m left here moaning
So sweet you were, and gentle too
I’m left alone, crying over you
Fait was cruel, yet you were kind
You gave your life, to save mine
Although that it may seem
That we’ve never been further apart
You haven’t really gone at all
You’re right here in my heart
I still miss you dearly
Even though I know you are here
I understand that’s the price you pay
For losing something in which you hold dear’
I hope you’re happy, and doing well
I’m not letting go, nor saying farewell
For doing so would kill me too
The acknowledgment of losing you
I understand now why you’ve left me alone
And why the one to go was you
The decision you made was your own
And was made as you love me too
So I can rest my head now knowing
That you felt just as I do
Now happy, yet sadness still growing
As is my love for you
