she lived out in the country
where the wind blows for miles
smelling of wildflowers
where the sky stays clear at night
he lived near the big city
where noise and pollution reigned
smells of cars and noise
it all echoed through his ears
he was on a holiday
in a quiet country town
where he would find
a new best friend,
a beautiful girl,
his life long soul mate,
all in one...
they met by coincidence
his head bumped hers
a bond was started
they both carried a scar
that would soon harness,
love for one another...
they talked together
walked together
stayed up all night together
sweared eternal love together
but he had to leave
his holiday was over
he couldnt bear to say goodbye
her hand was shaking,
her heart was breaking
back at home, he couldnt sleep
his mind never left her
he thought
"i have to move on"
"it was great, while it lasted"
"it wasn't meant to be"
"i'll just find another"
and then there was a knock on his door
he turned the lock
and there she was
just as he had left her
she reached for him
he took her in his arms
and never let go,
they never let go...

This is my dream....I fell in love in Italy but had to leave. when I boarded the train my heart was breaking, I tried to force back the sobs....If He would have chased the train or I could have turned and gone back...It was a wonderful poem....thank you |
