For Love or Money

Is it love that we are after?,
Is it money that we want?,
Both are hard for us to come by
Why not swim the Hellespont?
Herculean tasks are easy,
When compared to what we wish,
Please take note of what I offer,
Tho it may not be your dish.
Suicides are surely rampant,
When your love is out the door,
Suicides, you'll see, are never
When we have our sweet amour.
When given one or t'other,
Grab for love and pass the rest,
You can always earn some money,
And you'll find that love is best.

Dear Norm, my dear friend.
I loved this poem, because it's going to be easy to defend.
I've always said,"Marry an old man's money, and not be a young man's slave!" but, you're right Norm...there's so much more to life than green stuff you can burn! I'll take love over it anyday....but you see it's not that easy to get either. For you think you have a good one, and you find you have the other! Times have really changed in our day But I still contend....'tis better to love, and lose, than never to have loved at all...but now I also have to add....are you strong enough to survive the fall?
