Open Up The Sky

Contributed by Exodus-On-Life on Friday, 12th December 2003 @ 04:31:05 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

In the most perfect moments
As the tides have turned and the water has dried

Forgotten a sorrow, drifting into sleep so far away

Taken from the table and pushed under a swing
Eyes so wandering, and flesh so weak

Remember a sadness, as things hurt so much

Chopping down a forest, searching for the intricate sky
Let me come down tomorrow

Only this to be free, cherished beyond our wildest dreams

Doing the same in a fairy tale land
The same for me

Walk amongst shadows
Days folds into the darkness at dusk

Cold sweeps over me

Molding into perfect moments
Watch as the tides turn grey

Falling into water turned dry

Reminding myself of what I'll never wish for
Forget where I was so long ago

Killing me to hear you
Falling over my footsteps of pain

Unbearable to be unloved so quickly
Taking comfort in the bottomless cup

This tide has turned against me
And my tears so unhappy that fall against stone

Cold and abandoned
Taken away from the intricate sky

Covered by forest and sadness

Smiles that taint our minds
Cherished beyond what may seem

Sleep never comes, awakened by surrender

Beauty everlasting, stronger than before
Walking through the paths all unwinding

The happy of autumn, and the sadness of today

Make myself all tomorrow
And winter finds it's way

The edge so close, yet still unclear

The skies have their perfect moments
Forget our understanding

Reasons never met
Dying reminders of what I'll never have

Brief as we whisper
Quick while we wait

I love to surrender myself to you
The feeling I love to hate

For the sake of sorrow
Please let me be

Walk away as you did before

Please leave me

Toxic to breathe you in
Poison to my brain

Chopping down forests to unlock the sky
Cut me even deeper

Bury my pain

This is so sullen and beautiful at the same time you have opened up your soul with this poem I could feel these words touching my heart.
