when friends stray and betray

these gates you were welcome to,
the friendship ties,
that brought us here together,
now we shall leave apart,
all because of this...

i thought that i could trust you,
what a great actor...

a warped perception
of the difference
between truth and lies

these ethics and ideals,
that you supposedly
hold important
how easy it must be for you

saying one thing,
meaning another,
leaving me believing,

you put up a strong wall,
the infrastructure is all just
the warped perceptions,
of these ideals i thought you held...

its impenetrable,
i'll never trust again,
did it feel good?
telling people...
my most eternal secret,
was just good gossip to you,

now you've strayed i'm locking the gate,
changing the locks,
you'll find your key won't work...

you will be banging on the gate..
smashing the ends of your fists,
against the cold hard metal,
that i will have bewitched,
it will burn... brand you with scars
which will turn to marks
that say, "do not trust me..."
