these grass blades

Contributed by infedelity_hurts on Thursday, 11th December 2003 @ 08:32:30 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

sitting down on a path,
blades of grass, flatten beneath me
i'm killing time,
and i'm dying to see you...

i see a light flicker out
one of the many
that still burn in your house
the time's drawing nearer...

more lights dim
my hope starts glaring bright
nearly time to see you
happiness almost complete

now they're all gone
darkness is all i see
yet i'm glowing
i'm ready for you

i see your beautiful figure
nervousness converts to anxiousness
we walk, holding you close
next to my heart, where your soul resides

walking to the park
past wrinkled trees
how many couples they must've seen
i wonder how many made it?

lying out in the middle
gazes locked by invisible padlocks
i want to lose the key,
and be as close as two people can be

looking up at the stars
you say "it looks like i can touch the clouds"
i say "we're already there..."
our lips meet, and tongues get tangled...

alone with each other
double blades flattened
neighboring the trees
yeah, i think we'll make it...
