Lost At Sea

Contributed by Schnikes13 on Thursday, 11th December 2003 @ 07:18:12 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I look into the mirror and know that I am lost at sea
I cry because I don’t know where to find my destiny
Alone in a crowded room full of dreams
In the real world, nothing is as it seems

And life began; before I was ready
The world took off, and now I’m unsteady
Tears rolling down and not a word to say
Hoping that tomorrow will be a different day

Photos of memories that soon will pass
Waiting for a path, a guide at last
I’m not sure what to do; why am I here?
Rolled up in torture, held back by fear

Sweet misery, are you my only friend?
Twisted in confusion; this game will never end
Short of the circuit and blown apart
I can’t read the requests of my heart

I look into the mirror and know that I am lost at sea
I cry because I don’t know where to find my destiny
Alone in a crowded room full of dreams
In the real world, nothing is as it seems

Life began before I was ready also. I was thrown into a stormy sea, not knowing what I wanted to do or to be let alone how to do or to be whatever it was. God that mirror was no help LOL. Counsellors Counsellors everywhere...but no help. I am a poet thanks to my sixth grade teacher. I love writing..had to find my own way there..cast adrift ...in a sea of people as lost as me. You deserve more reads...how about I join under different names and keep reading????? LOL
