Laughing and smiling
And riding and riding
Red balloons in their hands
Round and round the ponies dance
Music playing
Children swaying
Smile as you go up and down
So willing and so ready
To grow up and grow steady
But 10 years from now they wont be around
Because somewhere hidden
A time bomb's ticking
Counting down the seconds till
They laugh the laugh and never will
Say goodbye or cry or hug
Their mothers over there
The sun is hiding
Pink ponies dance around
A baby on his horse is crying
And almost without a sound
The red second hand hits the twelve
And the spark has reached its destination
It flares up in elation
With a pop it all explodes
The carousel no longer goes.

Die, all you people who haven't commented! Die slowly and painfully-- shame on you!
Ahem. Now that that's out of the way and all death threats have been made . . .
I like! Never seen that music video ma thing, but I like anyway. All the rhymes flow nicely and all (I hate it when these things don't quite settle) and it's very insightful. A definite way with words.
I love you times a million, Zanna dear. Keep on writing. |
