Patient as a Bug

Contributed by norticus on Thursday, 11th December 2003 @ 12:58:50 PM in AEST
Topic: ChildrensPoetry

Under the hat lies a little bug
The hat you carelessly tossed to the rug
The hat that kept your ears warm
The hat that adjusted to your form
Now you walk in the warmth of your house
And inside your shoe is hiding a mouse
Your shoe that stepped in the mud
Your shoe that you tossed with a thud
Your shoe held together with dirty laces
That you carelessly drag through the very worst places
Now you rest upon your chair
As the hat laughs at your messy hair
And your shoes just patiently stare
Both eagerly waiting for you to find what’s in there.
