Where Am I Today

Contributed by maryetta on Thursday, 11th December 2003 @ 04:54:21 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

our days grow more difficult as time passes
today you may find me struggling in hell
tomorrow i may be in a daze in purgatory
the next day will be all a glory in heaven
where am i depends on alzheimers

we take each day one at a time its necessary
this disease doesnt seem to know itself
their moods switch then abilities falter
one day they can another they cant which one
where am i today depends on alzheimers

unlike other fatal diseases you cant tell
they look normal but thats where it ends
their walk is affected as is their speech
they try to be normal and we protect them
where am i today depends on alzheimers

ours is a mind game it tears us apart
on good days we are all happy it is good
on bad days we look for deep holes to hide
but on either days they still need our love
where am i today depends on alzheimers
