Sometimes I feel so scared
And so under prepared
For what life may throw at me
And at times I wanna run away
I can’t find a reason to stay
And become what I don’t want to be
But how can you change
The way you feel?
Oh, I wish this could be real
And how I wish,
I was free
Sometimes I just don’t want to live
I have nothing more to give
What do they want from me?
And sometimes I get immune to pain
I often feel I’ve gone insane
When nobody cares to see
But how can you change
The way you feel?
Oh, I wish this could be real
And how I wish,
I was free
Little does the world know
I can break away
And there’s nothing; absolutely nothing
More they can say
For what do you have if you can’t have your dreams?
Could all this just be more than it seems?
Can I be,
Can I be free?
And I don’t want to change
The way I feel
There’s no more need to wish
That it were real
‘Cause I know,
Yes, I know
I know that
I am free
