As if it were my own mouth these words had rose from
Almost dissolving on my tongue before they are released
My knees are bruised with hues of pain
As they kneel upon the alter
Broken soul; not easily mended
And honor smashed upon the crucifix
Behind these curtains of illusions rest a moment of freedom
Weary from the half motion of searching for my sin

"Honor smashed upon the crucifix" That's a genius line, I love it. so true..... We're humbled by Christ. I heard this quote though I don't know who said it. It goes something to the effect of "when I say I'm a Christian, I'm not shouting 'I am saved!'. when I say I'm a Christian, I'm whispering 'I need a savior'."
I think this quote is parellel to that line in meaning. You did well.
God bless,
Ellen
