Scared

Contributed by ZeroCool on Wednesday, 10th December 2003 @ 06:30:47 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

When I wash away my tears
With water from the faucet
Then dry my face with a faded towel
That feels rough against my face
I look

Up into a mirror
And see a face I've never met
A person that is foreign to me
Haggard and distraught
I drift

Out the door
I walk down the hall
And see people laughing
They look at me strangely
I’m suddenly afraid
I turn

And walk back inside
Locking the door behind me
Mirror’s break under my fist
Blood runs down my hands
Staining my carpet
I crumple

Onto my floor
And curl up into a ball
Tears run down my face
Like rivers of desire
I fall

Asleep

When things look so bad that everyone and everything seems to mock you;it's a horrible place to be. It's so much easier to get there than some people realize. What we have to remember is that it's just as easy to leave that place. Good luck !

The way you feel comes from very deep inside. So much pain there and it takes courage to compose it as you did so beautifully.
