I killed her.
I’m sorry.
I didn’t mean to.
I didn’t want to.
I killed her.
Forgive me.
My addiction
cost her life.
I killed her.
Wretched zombie.
Yet she walks
with dirty life.
I killed her.
Brown quartz,
like slush
in the mountains.
I killed her,
seek forgiveness,
drown in seventy three
counts of guilty.
I killed her
with my love.
I love her
with my shame.
I killed her,
want to tell her I’m sorry.
I’m not worthy
of speaking her name.
