The Key

These eyes,
They stare,
They look around
Hopefully begging,
Longing glances.
Asking to be seen,
Needing to be read.
Help me,
See me,
Save me from myself.
I speak through my eyes,
A window to my soul,
A portal through which
All the feelings flow
The unknown places,
The unshed tears.
All the unshared dreams,
From long past years.
The portal is there,
Yet no one ever enters,
The portal is locked,
No one is allowed in.
The key is needed,
Who will find it?
Who will open my soul?
Who will save my dreams?
Who will discover me,
The me that even I do not know…
Will it be you?
Do you have the key?
