Feeling Clean

The rain soaked everything that day
pouring in from windows
through bare trees
on my sneakers
and in my hair.
And yet I leaned into it
held my face at a position to
catch it on my eyelashes,
feeling more pure somehow
as each drop fell.

I was there with you! I loved the feel of this poem. It was smooth flowing from start to finish and written the way I would like to write. Thank you very much. I hope our paths cross again on another rainy day. |
