It's That Christmas Time of Year Again...

It's that time of year again, to watch the chestnuts roast,
And hear stories that the old men do surely boast...
But look to the den, a toy train is circ'ling the bright glist'ning tree
And the spirit of Christmas looks to set the toy soldiers free!
Wherever you go, a child you'll find
You'd think their parents would surely go out of their mind!
The solution has been passed down for many a year
And has been instilled in little ones as Christmas draws near
'Can it be true that Santa will come?'
For this thought, it will surely strike the children dumb
Regardless of this, I look outside to the snow slowly swir'ling
It somehow reminds me of gift wrap that they'll soon be unfurl'ing
But today's not the day, a night we must wait
As Jolly Saint Nick must answer his fate
During the night, I could hear a prince-prance on the roof above
Hopefully up the chimney he isn't in need of a shove
Tomorrow will be great, with their eyes all ablaze
A feeling we wish they'd keep with them always...
