I look into your eyes
Your perfect loving eyes
I know how I’ve hurt you,
And I finally feel remorse
What a horrible feeling,
Of regret I have,
I wish I could take it back,
If only I could.
But no matter how bad I feel,
You still feel worse,
I can’t believe I did this to you,
Can’t imagine you ever doing the same.
And I wonder if I really,
Should have told you the truth,
Is it better to know the horrors,
Or live in the sheltered shadows?
I killed you spirit,
Broke your trust,
Burned down our relationship,
And ***** on the ashes.
Can we ever get past this,
Can you ever forgive,
Could it ever be the same,
Can you love me again?

| Wow..... It is hard to really love or trust the person after that.... Guys kinda think about it and have egos and all that.... Ouch... I don't know what else to say.... |

Hi,
You've written a poem that will stand the test of time.
I'm sure plenty of us have done the same one time or the other but it takes real guts to openly admit it.
Hang tuff and I'm sure he'll find forgiveness as it takes time.

This is a great write. Know that people can find forgivenss....but the pain they feel will never go away. So love them extra and hug them more because you will never know when they are in doubt.....but it's then they need you most!

I liked the words, the message rang home, you see I was once also alone. Not having done as the poem goes, I was the one filled with those dreaded woes.
Is not truth a love of sorts, I remembered a truth that cut to the bone, that truth cost me all of my home.
Once it happened, I could never trust, I left my home in such disgust, betrayed and lost I had no more hope, of being with her in that special way. I rememer the love to this very day, and I forgave what she did, and I went on my way. Memories of love in a special way. |
