But for my Pride

Contributed by pasta on Monday, 8th December 2003 @ 10:19:34 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

BUT FOR MY PRIDE

I want to call you so badly
I can’t pick up the phone
Those mistakes we have made
Have left us alone

We were friends before lovers
That’s the way it should start
But the way that it ended
Just tears me apart

When you thought it was over
You were very mistaken
You slept with another
And my heart just keeps breaking

I miss how we were
It can’t be the same
Our lack of communication
Is what we’ve to blame

My feelings are shattered
With my trust and my heart
Now, it’s the vexations of Pride
That keeps us apart

I don't ever want to forget how we started. Somehow, it makes what we have even more special. I love you!

I guess we should have left it here.
