Come down
on wretched wing
from thy lofty lair
thou fliest
down from the rocks
among the crags
I watch
and wait
with stilted breath
'till I smell
thy cursed smell
of death
and see thee
Oh emerald-eyed beastie
for thy belly holds
those whose fear
thou hast tasted
on fat of kings
noble knights
whose ladies in waiting
still wait
and silly lads
thou hast dined
I will release
from their
prison of torment
and spill their bones
to rest
from thy belly
with my swift blade
and I shall not garnish
thy table
with my mortal house
nor my soul be claimed
for I wait again
for one blessed day
to dance
to dance with thee
'til thou sleepest
the sleep
and God
seeth fit
to grant me
victory.

you know, I always wanted to be a period drama actress, this is exactly the kind of thing I could emagine saying in a movie or reading in a script, its brilliant, fantastic. you should consider writing fantasy novels, they're my favorite to read! |
