Think Of others!

Contributed by lowman613 on Saturday, 6th December 2003 @ 09:23:09 AM in AEST
Topic: Holiday Poetry

Christmas time the best time of the year,
The time when everyone bring smiles & cheer,
But think about those who don't have a penny,
who can't buy gifts or even get any,
Through your buying rush at stores,
and through all your holiday chores,
theres people in this world we live,
that don't have a penny to even give,
no Christmas tree, with balbs & lights,
no blankets to warm their cool nights,
no family to love them or even care,
no food to cook or even share,
So many times we just forget,
the reason why we celebrate it,
so lets think of the less fortunate!

How loving, How kind, and yes considerate!
How thoughtful to be interested in those who can't have blessing as we....through no fault of their own...they will go without....your poem reminded me....and for that I thank you alot!

Oh my dearest friend Christina, how I enjoyed reading this poem.
My heart breaks for the less fortunate in this world.
This piece is so true.
I take this poem to heart.
Keep writing my friend.
May God be with you and bless you.

Very important message, Christina. And great write. Oft am I disgusted at the decadence and inconsiderate behaviour of society, but this poem lit a small light in the Arctic Darkness of our human condition-well at least for me.
