Lab Rat

Topic: SongLyrics

they told me to look, to wake open my eyes
holding creed to a book, so a help they surmise
talking facts not fiction, as if this could suffice
correct air of diction, now isn't this so nice?
the mark has been made, the deed has been done
i awoke from my dreams, and now i'm the only one
left inside of myself, another loss what to do
losing more of my health, so where i look is you

now in you i confide
you think that i tried
well i lied well i lied
take a look on inside
call it pieces of pride
part of me that had died
well i lied well i lied
take a peek on inside

if i could just only see
now can we say serenity?
if i could live in peace
is that a simple vanity?

now all of them i hate, it shouldn't be as so
that's just as of late, thought you should know
white coats sterilized, a clean serenity vault
should i be surprised? experimenting to a halt
the mark has been made, the deed has been left
i cling to my insides, yet it contains no heft
left now beside myself, still a loss what to do
losing more of my health, so where i look is you

now in you i confide
you think that i tried
well i lied well i lied
take a look on inside
call it pieces of pride
part of me that had died
well i lied well i lied
take a peek on inside

if i could just only see
now can we say serenity?
if i could live in peace
is that a simple vanity?

the label reads lab rat, around this little cage
no more needles nor hats, why the new outer gauge?
now am i rat? now answer! feeling locked up here
insides eating a cancer, so i am better i fear
the mark has been made, the deed has been gone
now i'm near forgotten, as they move right on
left just all by myself, wish something is new
they gain their wealth, so where i look is you

now in you i confide
you think that i tried
well i lied well i lied
take a look on inside
call it pieces of pride
part of me that had died
well i lied well i lied
take a peek on inside
my arms right open wide
my gut feels a bit pried
when i lied well i lied
take a look on inside
now in you i confide
you think that i tried
well i lied well i lied
take a peek on inside

if i could just only see
now can we say serenity?
if i could live in peace
is that a simple vanity?
